I have served as the Director of High School Faith Formation and Youth Ministry at St. Mary Portage since 2005. In 2013 my position changed to include Faith Formation and Youth Ministry for all our youth. Our programs strive to provide opportunities for our youth and families that allow them to learn about our faith and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and others. I find it a joy-fill experience when I see our youth living out the Gospel.
I have a Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies from the Center of Ministry Development and before coming to Portage I was the Wisconsin Rapids Deanery Youth Minister where I served and provided Youth Ministry opportunities for 12 parishes. During that time I directing and even created a few faith-based musicals.
I enjoy being involved in organizations that provide good purpose to those involved and that provide community service. I was the Executive Director of a non-profit organization for four years, and have been involved with a Direct Service Company for over 12 years. During that time I learned a lot about what it means to be a servant leader and use that knowledge and experience to apply it to my everyday life.
My family spent five years involved with the Self-Help and Awareness Program. Even though the program no longer exists we still have close contact with the child who spent those five summers with us and both our families have learned a great deal about each other's cultures.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family; playing cards and board games, camping, hiking, kayaking, competitive disc golf, attending my son’s sporting games or relaxing out on the boat with my own personal fishing guide (my husband Mike),
